The Ómós guesthouse, a restored Victorian brick manor with landscaped gardens

Reservations are now live for bookings between July and September. Click here to book a room in our guesthouse.

We’re delighted to inform you that your guesthouse reservation also secures a dinner reservation in our restaurant for the evening of your stay. Following the booking of your room, our reservations team will be in touch to organise your table.

Ómós is an intimate Irish guesthouse inspired by craft, nature and people, located just outside the heritage town of Abbeyleix in Co. Laois.

We have sixteen bedrooms, that have been designed by Ryan W. Kennihan Architects, Asca and Relief Gallery. Ten are in the main house and six in the adjacent coachhouses. Each room has its own personality, offering subtle comforts such as Irish bed linen, handcrafted ceramics and Ómós bodycare.

Guests can relax in our shared spaces: browse books in the library, listen to records by the fire, or explore artwork by artists from near and far. Outside, you’ll find walking trails and a sauna amongst the trees.

Breakfast

Served in the guesthouse kitchen or on the courtyard patio from 7–11 am, our breakfast highlights fresh farm produce. We bake our own breads and pastries, use local dairy and eggs, and offer cured meats and homemade preserves.
